Bioinformatics in Proteomics and Genomics
Administration a "Bioinformatics in Proteomics and Genomics" workshop in collaboration with the Proteomics Research Center and Faculty of Paramedical Sciences
A one-day workshop "Bioinformatics in Proteomics and Genomics" was administrated in collaboration with the Proteomics Research Center and the Faculty of Paramedical Sciences on Wednesday, Nov1, 2023 with the presence of Researchers. At first, Dr. Mostafa Rezaei Tavirani presented the purpose of workshop with justification and an introduction regarding the importance of detecting effective protein biomarkers in the early stage diagnosis of diseases. Next, Sina Rezaei Tavirani presented information on how to work with cytoscape software and how to use this software to draw and analyze protein networks using data from scientific databases and find important protein markers involved in diseases. Dr.Masomeh Farahani, a research member of the Skin Research Center, presented detailed explanations on how to validate the analyzed data using bioinformatics tools, which was well received by the participants. At the end of the session, the workshop continued with questions and answers from the participants.
